Is it just me or is that SW movie just a computer re-work of the Clone Wars animation that was on Cartoon Network a few years ago?

From the very little I've seen of the previews, this looks to tell the story between Episodes II and III, including Anakin's battles with Gen. Grievous and that goth-Jedi chick (don't remember her name). That is what the 20+ 6-minute episodes from the Cartoon Network were about, and they were a lot of fun. In fact, the beginning of Episode III didn't really make any sense without having seen that.

That one looked like cel animation, whereas this new one looks more CGI-esque.

@bogart, in IMDB, it only stated that the "Star Wars: Clone Wars" (2003) is connected to several Star wars movies including the latest anime one.

And in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) 's site trivia, it never stated that it is re-make of the earlier TV series, but there will be a television series debut in the fall of '08 and air on Cartoon Network, plus TNT network.

@bogart, quote from wiki, the SW: The Clone Wars (film) is ' "almost an afterthought" as George Lucas watched some of the TV episodes on a large screen and decided: "This is so beautiful, why don't we just go and use the crew and make a feature?" '

So maybe you are right that it is a re-work of the TV series from 2003.

thank you all for the suggestion, I want to see Wall-E but the one on cinema tomorrow is not in English, and Star War is not on cinema yet.

Guess I will find other things to do for Friday night.

I thought Wall-E would be released on Sep 9 in Finland (at least that's what IMDB says). Were can you see it before that?

Oh, it's the original version without finnish subtitles. But who needs them anyway when it has under 20 spoken lines...

Ok, I'm in. Who wants go see WALL-E with me (or, per their own choice, avoid me) this weekend, starting tonight? According to Finnkino it goes at 22 on Thur, at 23:15 on Fri, and at 11:45/14:15 on Sun. Theater: Tennispalatsi 8.

@whiteg: According to how I read Finnkino's website the dubbed version "WALL-E (dub)" is shown on sunday only whereas the original ("WALL-E (orig)") is shown on thursday (today), friday and sunday.

Btw this is the first time I see IMDB wrong on the Finnish release date. I guess Finnkino intended to release it later but the success in other markets made them reconsider their position.

i could've sworn i saw two dates for Finland on this page previously, one indicated as "limited"
